10    Gateway Club monthly hunt. MYSTERY HUNT! (Members only. Must be a member as of the March 6 meeting.)  We will leave at 9:15 from Duck’s Bar & Grill, 16016 Hwy 47, Marthasville, MO 63357. PLEASE BE THERE EARLIER.

There is mixed terrain, so it might be good to wear hiking boots. It will be an all day hunt, so be prepared. Cell phone service is spotty to non-existent in the area.

The owner is not interested in keeping any finds, but very much wants to just see any older objects found so as to know what was on his land. So we will do a modified Genevieve Method. Keep all modern items, but show him any old.

Wear your GMDC shirt and bring anything you would use to do upkeep on your lawn–rakes, trowels, brooms, dustpans, trimmers, shovels, wheelbarrows, blowers. Be sure to bring eye and ear protection, and gloves.

5      Gateway Club monthly hunt. Wildwood Historical Society. Time 9am. 18750 Hwy 100 at Hencken Rd. YOU MUST BE REGISTERED FOR THIS HUNT. We will be using the Genevieve Method for this hunt, so please bring a box or bag to put trash and finds in to be shown to the Society. Please be aware that every historical find will be kept by the Society and possibly put into the Hencken Place museum. Also be aware that members of the Society will be on hand, along with members of the museum. WE WILL BE PARKING AT THE DIERBERGS AT 2460 TAYLOR RD, WILDWOOD, MO 63040.  Meet there at 8:30am. We will then use as few trucks as possible for equipment and to carry people to a secondary parking area on Windy Hollow Lane off Hwy 100 on the south side of the Wildwood museum, since there is little parking at the museum which must be kept for customers. The Windy Hollow Lane parking is to be kept to one side of the street only (per the owner), and will not accept a large amount of vehicles.
